The Unquiet Void's 9th album, Where Black Stars Rise, is based on and inspired by The King In Yellow by Robert W. Chambers. The album explores "Cassilda's Song" within the play (within the novel) as an entry point to dim Carcosa... where flap the tatters of the king. The very content of the album serves as the cause for cosmic dread and utter madness.
This limited edition CD pressing of 50 copies includes a 7th track, "Strange is the Night (Where Black Stars Rise)" which will ONLY be available on this CD. This release also features an exclusive written family history by Robert W. Chambers' great niece Suzanne Chambers Evans, a behind the scenes look at what may have inspired "The King in Yellow."
